Design Or Reverse Engineering

DCI offers assistance in product design & material selection for prototyping and volume production. We will help you develop your idea, project or item from what you describe, your sketches or a photo you’ve seen. We can take your ideas from simple sketches to CAD drawings and turn them into reality in no time. Our goal is to provide the highest quality design most discerning designers and clients require.

CNC Machining

All of our CNC routers are state-of-the-art. Display Connection specializes in precision CNC machining of a wide array of plastics, including acrylic, polycarbonate (Lexan), polypropylene, polyethylene (HDPE), ABS, EPVC (Sintra/Komatex), and more. Our CNC equipment is designed to handle custom close tolerances, high-volume orders and accurate repeatability. All this while maintaining quality control and quick project turn-around times.

Laser Cutting & Engraving

Laser cutting acrylic is an exceptionally popular application because of the high-quality results that are produced. DCI’s state-of-the-art lasers cut parts with speed, simplicity, accuracy, and precision. Components can be nested as tight as the thickness of the cutting beam (less or no wasted material) and creates custom complex shapes out of various types of plastic.

Screen / Digital Printing

Screen printing is the process of pushing colored inks through a fine mesh screen and onto a material underneath. Due to its simplicity, Screen Printing is common in many acrylic fabrication applications.
Digital printing is fairly new but advanced technology that affords the ability to print small run or large run orders.

Precision Sawing

Referred to as precision saw cutting—is one of our specializations. Using the process, we cut a variety of plastic materials. Regardless of whether you need small or large parts or a prototype or production run, we can meet your needs with quality cut products.

Die Cutting

Die cutting plastic is a process that involves creating a custom die in the required shape, then using it to cut the finished shaped components out of flat plastic sheets. Die cutting plastic is usually less expensive and quicker for larger runs than other methods used to cut plastic.

Edge Finishing

Clean Saw Cut Edge – Chip free saw cut finish.
Machined Edge – Smooth clean frosted finish.
Diamond Polished Edge – This process consists of diamonds rotating at high speed over the surface of the material. Adds a shiny luster to the edges of acrylic.
Flame Polished Edge – Polishing by melting the surface with an intense flame providing an extremely clear surface.

Gluing & Bonding

Plastic is typically glued using solvent-based glues. Unlike many other gluing processes, our variety of glue chemicals soften the surfaces of the plastic and welds them together, chemically bonding the two pieces into one.

Heat Bending

DCI’s custom designed heat benders (20+ stations) allow us to manufacture a consistent, professional bend while working with all types of thermoplastic material. The heat bending process allows thermoplastic sheets to be re-molded or formed to give it a well-defined bend so that, upon cooling, it holds its form. Typical thicknesses range between .020″ – .5″ (thicker gauges are subject to review).

DCI’s custom painting options are also a great choice! We have endless color matching possibilities. We can match any paint colors to accommodate your needs.
